The Darkness Artist Talk

Join us on Thursday, November 13, from 5:30-7:00pm for an artist talk with exhibiting artists Rudy Shepherd and Molly Kaderka.

Shepherd and Kaderka will share insights into their artistic practices and discuss their works featured in The Darkness. Kaderka’s large-scale wall paintings and hand-marbled paper collages explore the celestial and terrestrial, evoking a sense of vastness and human wonder. Shepherd’s ongoing drawing series, reflecting on current events, social justice, and cultural icons, appears alongside his sculptural works, the Black Rock Negative Energy Absorbers, which embody themes of healing and transformation.

The conversation will be moderated by Laura Minton, Acquavella Director of University Art Galleries and Collections, and will offer a deeper look into the ideas and processes behind each artist’s work and the themes connecting their practices within the exhibition.
