Artist Statement (excerpt) Rebecca S. Boswell These paintings inhabit an in-between space both technically and conceptually. They navigate between raw canvas and oil painted surfaces by using tightly rendered drawings against abstract markings in crayon, charcoal, ink, gesso, pencil and pastel.
