2006 Annual Student Art Exhibition

Announcement: New Category of Cash Awards Made Possible by Private Donation.

Beginning this year, $600 in cash awards will be added to the current awards given by the Art Department.

The WFU art faculty member(s) representing each of the six studio areas will select one of their students to receive a cash award of $100.00 based on the following criteria:

1. Creative uniqueness exhibiting notable individuality and force of content.

2. A model student with outstanding drive and dedication to their creative process.

3. Willingness to go beyond what is expected of them.

4. Exhibiting in-class leadership qualities and personal integrity.

In addition, all works eligible for these awards must meet these specific requirements:

1. All art must be signed, dated and titled.

2. Works on paper, including drawings, prints, photographs and digital prints, must be matted or float mounted or framed with glazing.

3. Paintings must be framed or edges painted.

The name of the specific donor will be printed on each of the six award certificates presented during the award ceremony opening night.
