Ed Rice: Paintings
Curated by Paul Bright
Ed Rice’s paintings of architecture, which have long comprised the majority of his works,
manage to be both evocative and specific, always telling us something
essential about the structure depicted in both detail and spirit. Rice has followed an idiosyncratic path;
his training was as much artisanal as artistic. He has carved out a successful
“career” as an artist, with a knowledge of - but well outside - most streams of art-making of the last 30 years.
