Derrick Bang, author of “50 Years of Happiness: A Tribute to Charles M. Schulz” and creator of the Peanuts Collectors Club Web site. Derrick Bang is also author of "Charles M. Schulz: Li’l Beginnings" and "It's Only a Game."
Also during Opening Reception: Personal Appearance by “Snoopy” (special guest Judy Sladky performing as Snoopy during opening reception.)
Tom Everhart – Wednesday, Oct. 18th, 12 pm, Room 9, Art Dept.

Everhart, speaking from his Venice, Calif., studio, says he's the first fine artist to align himself with a cartoonist to create a body of work springing from a place of personal feeling and conscious connection. Everhart, whose show "Under the Influence" opens at the Charles M. Schulz Museum on Nov. 15, actually never thought of Schulz as a cartoonist "so much as an artist of cartoon, with the sensibilities of a fine artist."

Guest speaker Rheta Grimsley Johnson, author of “Good Grief: The Story of Charles M. Schulz,” the authorized biography of Schulz. She will speak about the personal details of Schulz’s life that influenced his creative work. Rheta Grimsley Johnson is an award-winning reporter and columnist for King Features Syndicate of New York.
